As one half of DJ duo Housewives, a celebrated solo DJ in her own right and the host of ’P3 Dans’ on Swedish National
Radio, La Fleur has proven herself to be accomplished,
knowledgeable and brimming with musicality; she‘s the dancer turned DJ, the pharmacist turned remixer, the music-lover turned music-maker. By capturing her unique combination of tough and melodic sounds, Flowerhead EP is a memorable debut, and the sound of La Fleur - the producer - rightfully staking out her dancefloor territory.
“Et La Fleur“ starts as it means to go on, with a gut-wrenching kick that intermingles with a unique and lilting
synth melody. Percussion and handclaps fill out the gently jacking framework, alongside an affecting musical sample so obscured it sounds like ambient pads, and cut-up vocal snatches that increase the tension, pushing the track towards epic territory.
Hitting it’s peak, “Et La Fleur“ takes an unexpected breather
with a breakdown that cleverly evolves into France
Gall’s 1964 yé-yé classic “Les rubans et la fleur“. The sweet nostalgic reverie is then pulled back to the here and now, with the reintroduction of that urgent beat, forgoing the earlier washes of atmosphere, and dropping deep, deep down into a tech house groove.
On the flip side, “Flowerhead”, opening with synths that mimic distinctive warehouse-era house piano loops, makes its agenda clear from the outset: it wants you to move.
It blooms into a warm house tempo, replete with syncopated
high hats, bongos, handclaps, and cut-up filtered vocal loops that add some sensual swing, before a bassline
wallop ties it all together. This is La Fleur’s deeper take on house, which provides some grit and groove for the hips and feet.
As intriguing and beguiling as the artist herself, Flowerhead
EP is a remarkable debut that will etch itself into the minds of DJ and music fans alike.

Nach fast einem Jahr kommen die beiden Trash-Künstler Mr. Jay & T mit neuer Ep. Zwei Remix-Tracks, ein POPMUSCHI RMX und ein Bonustrack machen dieses Packet richtig dick. Inspiriert von Frankreich-Reise entstand der Remix des Kulthits "fade to grey" und musste auf diese Platte. Einmal vom "neu-aufmischen" begeistert war sofort der nächste Track "Popcorn" fertig. Die eingängigen Melodien und der typische J&T-Sound kombiniert rocken einfach jeden Club. Um die Packung komplett zu machen ergab sich wieder mal eine Kooperation mit den Popmuschi-Jungs. Der nächste Remix war geschaffen. Ein alter Puhdys-Hit, wahrscheinlich eher unbekannt, namens "Schlaf mit mir" brachte das perfekte Thema für die B-Seite der "Niki "mach" Lauda! ep". Als Bonus ist noch "French Kiss", benannt nach einer Partyreihe in Dresden, drauf.

FTFO - "for the fans of" milton jackson, tuccillo, ali kuru, leon & kreon, george g, gorge, livio & roby...
Jazzy Caravan is a grand peice of work that is looking to outline the silhouette of Apparel Music Classic's soul. The jazz follows us to the sweet memories of unforgettable melodies that are interpreted by artists par excellance for a special event. Every producer represents one scene, unique and unmistakable. Jazz samples (where Oneboy project has groomed well the classical instruments - the trumpet, the piano and the double-bass) were given to every artist.
Prostitune: is a modest swedish guy that marvels us with simplicity. Seems like going back in time with a next generation's vehicle. It's really a perfect start.
George G uses imagination and transmits the motiv with a simple hint in the center of disc, as if the jazz transforms itself in poetry or a drumroll.
Ekkohouse gives us an example of class and wonder: Caravan hides behind a research of sounds that fill up the space and wrap arround us until swallowing us.mm.
Elon amazes us with an amazing 'divide and assemble, cut and stitch' technique, quoting the swing and flamenco without ever loosing the actual rhythm.
Tucillo brings us to house with an up to date and sophisticated march.
Kisk gives us an example of salsa with a good structured instumental version.
Ali Kuru brings us back to present tense and rides the housy wave. Really impeccable. The last but not least, Domu, an artist far away from a steady sound, definitely a different school, couldn't be missed out for the jazzy lovers.
